Getting Started

IdeaWF Competition Application Form

Training Opportunities

Because IdeaWF is about creating new businesses and new entrepreneurs, the program offers several training opportunities.  Experts from the MSU Small Business Development Center and the Lalani Center will provide several types of classes.  Also, several area business leaders have offered to mentor teams during the competition.  It is strongly encouraged, though not required, that everyone interested in entering the contest attend an orientation session.  All sessions will be held in the Dillard College of Business, Midwestern State University. Intellectual Property and Disclosure Issues

The ideas used in the business plan must either be the original work of the team or, if the team is using the intellectual property (IP) of others, they must acknowledge such and address how they intend to obtain the legal rights to use the IP.   Though IdeaWF will work to protect participants’ IP and confidential material, we will not ask the judges or contest staff to sign non-disclosure agreements.  IdeaWF reserves the right to use photos taken during the competition for publicity.
